Pet Urgent Care
What is Urgent Care?
Urgent care is an outpatient service that provides treatment to sick pets who require prompt access to a veterinarian but do not necessarily require emergency care.
What are Urgent Care Clinic Hours?
We will not be open 24/7 like emergency centers but have extended hours beyond those of our regular clinic hours.
Our Urgent Care hours:
Monday – Saturday: 5 pm – 8 pm
Urgent Care is a Good Option for:
- Skin or ear infections
- Wounds
- Vomiting
- Limping
- Unexplained lethargy
- Fever
- Rashes or Lumps
Limitations of Urgent Care
Not all hospital and surgery services can be performed during urgent care hours. Your doctor may recommend referral, further triage, or 24-hour observation if necessary for your pet.
Do I Need to Make an Appointment?
We request that you call ahead to check the availability of our urgent care team. In the event of an emergency, we do not want to waste precious time or money if we are unable to treat your pet and, therefore, must transfer it to an ER clinic.
Does it Cost More for Urgent Care?
Yes, you should expect a slight increase in fees for urgent care services. However, we have worked diligently to keep these cost increases to a minimum, and they should be a fraction of 24/7 ER hospital costs.
